Note: The Document Editor program must be installed prior to creating proposals or contracts in Lumens. Each computer using this portion of the software program will have to follow the installation instructions. Repeat instructions for each computer. Only PC's running Internet Explorer 6 or greater will be able to run this Lumens feature. |
Open My Computer from the Start button/icon.
Review your local drive and ensure the following directory exists. Locate the C: Drive in your computer and click on the following folders as listed below to locate file v2.0.50727.
The path is: C:\Windows\Microsoft.net\Framework\v2.0.50727
IF file is found, proceed to Step 2.
IF the file cannot be found, you will need to install the Microsoft.NET framework version 2 from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en
If you are typing the code, make sure that zeros are numeric and not alpha letters. (Code is not case sensitive)
Click Download and follow the prompts.

Note: Need to accomplish 3 things in Internet Explorer:

Open the Microsoft Internet Browser. Version 6, 7, and 8 may display slightly different.
Select menu item Tools, Internet Options.
Click on Security tab. Select the "Internet" zone and a slider or a Custom level button will display. If there is a slider, move it to Medium. Sometimes it will not stick and you may need to accept Medium-high.
Click on Trusted Sites, click Sites and remove augusoft.net from trusted sites if it is there.
Remove checkmark in box labeled Enable Protected Mode on the same screen "Turn Off" this mechanism
If you do not see this mode, then your version does not have one and you can proceed to the next step.

Click on Privacy tab.
To ensure you allow pop-ups on your Lumens sites, review the Pop-up Blocker section (midway on the privacy tab) and remove the check in the Turn on Pop-up Blocker box.
Click OK.

Note: This step will need to be done for each site - staging and production.

On your computer, click Start or the Office Button in the lower left-hand corner.
Click on All Programs, Accessories.
Chose the instructions that match your Windows version.

Select the text below and then copy and paste into the Command Prompt window by right-clicking in the black window and select Paste.

Hit the enter key on your keyboard.
A successful entry will look similar to the screen below followed by the word Success in the command prompt screen.
Click the X to close.
Open Lumens and test the software.
Click Create Default Template which can be found in:
Instructor/Instructor Contracts or
Contract Training/Proposals or
Instructors/Instructor Contracts.
The first time during a session, when you open the editor window, please be patient while it downloads. It could take up to a minute or so. If you are running IE8, the editor window must be run in Compatibility Mode. Once the editor window is open, click on the icon to the right of the URL (shown below circled in red).
Trouble Shooting
If there are issues with the editor displaying properly, try to run the script again and clear the browser cache, close and reopen the browser.
If after all these instructions have been completed and the editor will not appear, return to step 2 and before setting to Medium security, click Default Level, then set to Medium and try again.
