REGISTRATION & STUDENTS | Student Management |
There are two events that can lead to a registration cancellation:
A student or member decides to cancel their registration.
You cancel a class.
This section discusses how to process cancellations for individual students.
Click either REGISTRATION, student management or STUDENTS, student management.
A list of students appears. Locate the student by using the Search feature or by browsing for the student using the <<previous and next>> links at the bottom of the display.
3. Select the field in the Action column; if the student has an active registration that is available to cancel, then Cancel will display in the list of options; select Cancel.
4. Lumens will display a list of classes that are available to cancel. Click Cancel for the appropriate class.
Review the Cancel Registration Transaction Review display, which includes the user’s profile information and the name of the class to cancel. If you wish to refund applicable materials fees or registration fees, choose Yes for the appropriate fee. Choose whether you want to charge the cancellation service charge.
Click Submit.
Cancel Registration Transaction Review Step 2 summarizes the order. The suggested amount to be refunded appears in the Suggested refund amount field. If the difference between the suggested refund amount and the override amount exceeds the Maximum Override Variance Amount set in Cancellation Policies an error window will appear.
If the original registration was paid by a split payment, you can elect to split the refund between payment methods. Select the refund types and amounts in the Refund option #1 and Refund option #2 sections.
Click Submit.
The Cancel Registration Transaction Summary contains a summary of the cancellation, including student information. Click Print View if you wish to print a copy of the transaction summary.
