Add a Program

In this section, you set up Programs prior to setting up Program Sections, then assign classes to the Program Sections.

Programs - Attributes for setting up programs include number of payment periods, program hours, fees, and grade specifications.

Program Sections - Attributes for setting up program sections are classes, payment period schedules, and due dates.

 

 

  1. Click PROGRAMS, program management.

  2. Type in number or a part of the program name, click Search

 

 

2.  Click Add or Edit and a program profile screen will appear.

 

 

Defining Terms

  • Program name - This is the name of the Primary Category where program sections will be assigned too.

  • Program number - This is the number you dictate for the program.

  • Program Hours - These hours are the total hours for all the classes under this program.

  • # of Payment Periods - Institutions have different pay schedules and periods.  Usually the schedule terms coincide with the payment periods.

  • Tuition Fee - This is the sum of all the fees and costs for the program.  

  • Materials Fee, Lab Fee, Insurance Fee, Building Fee, Book Fee, and Program Fees are all possible sources that generate extra costs allocation and are optional items.  

  • Accounting code for class cost, Accounting code for book fee, and Accounting code for program fee are optional. This is set up on System Options/Financial Policies.

  • Minimum Passing GPA - This is the minimum grade allotted for passing the total program.

  • Minimum Passing % Attendance -  This is the minimum percentage of Attendance allotted for completion of program.

  • Number of Courses - This is the number of courses that exist under the program plan.

  • Credit Expiration Duration - This is the term in which credit expires for any refunds on classes.
