Record Attendance

Instructors can record class attendance in this mode. The attendance can only record absences. Enter time of absence only. The hours show on students transcripts AFTER the class has been completed.

 

  1. Click CLASS INFO, record attendance.

  2. Select the term and the class.

  3. Click Submit.

 

 

 

Note:

  • User will click the Hybrid Classes option from the Class Type drop-down menu

  • Click on Search button

  • Courses page with Delivery Type = Hybrid would be displayed.

  • A radio button for a class is then selected by the user

  • Class Meeting Selection for Attendance screen would be displayed on which users can enter the attendance records

  • Class Meeting Dates will be included as an instructional method in which the online value is assigned as True

  1. In the screen below, enter the number of hours the class is held for the given day.

  2. Place a checkmark in the box for the date you want to take attendance.

  3. Click Submit.

 

 

You will see a list of students with the total number of hours for attending the class. If the student is absent the number in the box would reflect a zero. If the student only attended the class for 6 hours then 6 hours would be reflected in the box.  

  1. Click Submit.

 

 

 

Record Make-up Hours

Staff and Instructors will be able to record attendance for make-up classes under Registration > Student Management or Students > Student Management.

 

For staffs recording attendance for make-up classes. The screen steps are as follows.

 

 

Note: When the user searches for a class, it  will only return classes in which the student has enrolled in and that have a completed class meeting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note: In the process for an Instructor to record attendance for a class with Make-up Classes associated with it, Lumens will display an ‘Add Make-Up Hours’ link immediately beneath the ‘Contact Hours’ field which up on selection  will return the ‘Student Selection for Make-Up

Hours for [Class Name]’ screen.
